LACQUER PEN

Vietnamese lacquer — sơn mài — is built up in dozens of translucent layers, each sanded back before the next is applied. The depth you see in a BLUSAIGON lacquer pen is literal: you are looking through layers, not at a printed surface.

The technique takes weeks per batch and cannot be rushed, which is why lacquer pens are produced in smaller numbers than our nacre lines. Finished in gold or white gold plating, with free name engraving.
