MOTHER OF PEARL PEN

Every BLUSAIGON mother of pearl pen begins as a raw shell — Tahitian black pearl, New Zealand abalone, Northern Australia white pearl or Mississippi orange pearl. Our artisans cut each fragment by hand, inlay it into the barrel using khảm trai, the Vietnamese mother-of-pearl inlay technique practised for roughly a thousand years, then polish the surface until shell and metal sit flush to the touch.

Because nacre is a natural material, no two pens carry the same pattern. A single barrel takes upwards of 72 hours of work across our 10,000 m² Saigon workshop, where more than 100 artisans work by hand.

Choose your writing system: fountain pen, rollerball, ballpoint or fineliner. Choose your finish: gold plated, white gold plated or rose gold. Name engraving and gift wrapping are included at no cost, and every pen carries a 24-month warranty plus lifetime BluCare+ servicing.
